According to Law 3850/2010, machines, devices, and tools must be manufactured in such a way that, when properly installed and used, they do not pose a risk to workers. If it is not possible to prevent the existence of external rotating parts or transmission parts that are accessible to workers, special measures must be taken to protect workers from them.

According to Greek law and standard EN ISO 12100, a risk assessment must be carried out for individual machines and all machines as a whole, and measures must be taken where necessary.

This assessment can be carried out during the F(actory) A(cceptance) T(est) stage of the machinery, but mainly after installation at the final installation site.
